Justin Alphonse Mercurio is an associate in the Capital Markets and Commercial Lending practice. Justin’s practice is focused on all aspects of commercial financing transactions. 

Prior to practicing law, Justin served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Eugene R. Wedoff (Ret.) in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois and a Public Interest Law Initiative Fellow for Catholic Charities Legal Assistance.

  • Represented a leading designer, manufacturer, and wholesale distributor of branded clothing and accessories with over $1.6 billion of funded debt obligations in its in-court restructuring.
  • Represented an ad hoc committee of second lien bondholders in connection with a debt collection and loan servicing provider’s out-of-court restructuring of more than $500 million of funded debt obligations.
  • Represented a multinational technology company in its in-court restructuring of over $6 billion of funded debt obligations. This restructuring was recognized as the 2018 Transaction of the Year (Mega Company) by the Turnaround Management Association.
  • Represented a U.S. producer of specialty zinc and zinc-based products and a leading recycler of metals-bearing waste in its in-court restructuring.
