Kayleigh Shuler is an associate attorney in the Technology Transactions and Data Privacy practice group. Kayleigh advises clients of all sizes and industries on privacy and data security compliance matters, including issues related to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As part of that advice, Kayleigh assists clients with drafting privacy statements and other compliance documents, and with reviewing the privacy posture of potential business partners. Kayleigh also regularly helps clients respond to data security incidents by, among other things, assessing their obligations to notify regulatory authorities, business customers and individuals.

Kayleigh also counsels clients on a variety of technology matters, including licensing agreements, website terms of use and non-disclosure agreements. In these matters, she is committed to understanding clients’ business needs and to helping them protect their investments in a wide range of information and technologies.

Prior to joining Polsinelli and returning to the Midwest where she was born and raised, Kayleigh was an attorney in Eugene, Oregon, where she also attended law school.
