Liz Boydston focuses her practice on complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, adversary proceedings, fraudulent transfers, preference litigation, 363 sales, receiverships, and workouts throughout the United States. Liz represents for-profit and non-profit hospitals, municipalities, senior housing centers, health care providers, public oil and gas development companies, refining and fuel-marketing corporations, offshore drilling and exploration companies, financial institutions, independent contractors, and large multinational and multi-subsidiary corporations in complex restructuring and insolvency matters.

Liz has extensive Ponzi Scheme defense litigation experience and has defended investors in schemes valuing up to $3.6 billion. Her experience in non-bankruptcy transactional and litigation in both state and federal courts allows her to understand all sides of the law. She has also served as a law clerk to Chief Bankruptcy Judge Bill Parker, United State Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas (2007-2009).

  • Represent private, for-profit corporation in current national airline bankruptcy case
  • Represent fuel and parts suppliers in current national airline bankruptcy case
  • Represented Alaska-owned refining and fuel marketing company in Peninsula Airways, Inc. (PenAir) bankruptcy case
  • Represented global agent in CHC Helicopters, international helicopter bankruptcy case where helicopter operator provides transport to oil and gas platforms worldwide;

  • Debtors’ Counsel in the chapter 11 bankruptcy cases of Petroshare Corp. and CFW Resources, LLC  
  • Delaware bankruptcy counsel and conflicts counsel to Creditors’ Committee in the chapter 11 bankruptcy cases of Southland Royalty Company, LLC 
  • Debtors’ counsel to publicly-traded crude oil and natural gas development companies
  • Represented DIP Lender, Senior Secured Lender, Equity Holder, and Stalking Horse Bidder in 75 Ch. 11 debtor case where the debtors operated an international fuel supply and storage network
  • Represent national financial institutions in numerous oil and gas exploration, upstream, midstream, and downstream
  • Debtor's counsel to a publicly traded independent oil and gas company and its affiliated subsidiaries
  • Debtor’s counsel to offshore drilling companies that provided drilling services to natural gas exploration companies

HEALTHCARE REPRESENTATION

  • Reorganized Debtors’ Counsel to Senior Care Centers, LLC (skilled nursing facilities with assisted living and rehabilitation services).
  • Debtors’ Counsel to Adeptus Health Inc., 140 Ch. 11 debtors who operated full-service, for-profit hospitals and emergency rooms across the U.S.
  • Represented emerged national healthcare organization as Reorganized Debtors’ counsel in daily operations, claims administration, healthcare transactions, real estate negotiations, and government investigations
  • Represented the Unsecured Creditors’ Committee in a 135 Ch. 11 debtor case where the debtors operated skilled nursing facilities
  • Reorganized Debtor’s counsel to non-profit hospital
  • Represented hospital municipality in contentious bankruptcy litigation involving more than $110 million in outstanding debt and rent due from debtor
  • Debtor’s counsel to a Texas physician’s
  • Represented non-profit hospital in litigation against medical billing and coding provider
  • Represented DIP Lender to group of senior housing debtors
  • Represented purchaser of a hospital through a Section 363 sale
  • Represented the Board of a Continuing Care Retirement Community
  • Represented one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers as a creditor and supplier
  • Represented Official Resident Committee in senior housing and Continuing Care
