As an associate in the Wealth Planning practice, clients rely on McKinley Duke to recognize issues and create a specific and individual plan when it comes to personal, estate, and tax planning. He strives to listen and learn from clients and incorporate the client’s wishes in a plan that is both comprehensive and flexible.

McKinley enjoys working with clients and their team of professionals to ensure smooth estate and trust administration, from the initial review of the client’s needs through the final distribution and tax reporting. He collaborates with seasoned attorneys daily on both sophisticated estate planning designs and business succession planning designs. This includes the coordination of revocable and irrevocable estate planning documents with a wide variety of shareholder agreements, buy-sell agreements, and operating agreements. While also working to achieve specific charitable goals. 

His practice focuses on a variety of wealth planning matters, including:

  • Drafting wills, revocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, and health care directives 
  • Drafting irrevocable trusts, including life insurance trusts and spousal limited access trusts
  • Drafting charitable trusts, including charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts
  • Administering post-death estate and trust plans
  • Preparing gift, estate, and fiduciary income tax returns
  • Establishing family limited partnerships and limited liability companies
