Matt Moriarity has handled matters ranging from a few thousand dollars to those in the hundreds of millions of dollars. His specialty is protecting the rights of commercial lenders and businesses in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts across the nation.

Matt has extensive experience representing clients in all aspects of troubled and defaulted loan matters, including:
  • Mortgage foreclosure actions and trustees’ sales
  • Receivership actions, receivers’ sales, direct collection from tenants
  • Loan workouts and restructures
  • Deed transfers in lieu of foreclosure, discounted payoff agreements, forbearance agreements, modifications, assumptions, short sales, and Uniform Commercial Code Article 9 sales
  • Lender liability claims
  • Contested bankruptcy actions, including stay relief, confirmation, fraudulent transfers, and other bankruptcy litigation

He also handles the negotiation and drafting of complex loan documentation, as well as general real estate, business and commercial law matters. In addition, Matt has extensive deposition and courtroom experience, and has successfully represented clients in trial proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
