Born into a family of engineers, Phillip Rice has been immersed in the math and science disciplines throughout his life. He now pursues his dual passions — engineering and law — to effectively protect his clients’ intellectual property assets.

With a focus on patent prosecution, Phillip has filed, prepared, and prosecuted utility and design patent applications for clients in the United States and internationally. Phillip has assisted clients in a broad spectrum of diverse fields including medical device, oil and gas, magnetic levitation transportation, consumer electronics, computing systems and hardware, personal weapons systems, construction equipment, bicycle carriers, and virtual reality. 

Clients also rely on Phillip to help manage patent portfolios through strategic patent prosecution decisions and advice to effectively protect a client’s current and future products. He works hard to remain current on the latest developments in technology and IP law so he can provide clients with the highest level of service.
