Ryan Chapin is an associate in Polsinelli's Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice group, where he represents debtors, secured lenders, and unsecured creditors in state and federal court. Ryan is committed to advocating on behalf of his clients by understanding both the industries in which they operate and the complexities of bankruptcy and financial restructuring. Ryan partners with other Polsinelli attorneys by conducting research on applicable case law to advise clients and identify business-focused legal solutions to meet clients’ needs.

Previously, Ryan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Janet S. Baer of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois, where he regularly drafted briefs, orders, and opinions on a variety of state and federal matters.

  • Ryan has experience in a range of bankruptcy cases with companies in the healthcare, hospitality, securities, cryptocurrency, construction, and manufacturing industries. Many of those cases involved litigation in adversary proceedings focused on tax issues, fraud, and preferential transfers.
