Rodger Hochman is a skilled health law attorney. He delivers meaningful solutions to entrepreneurial and mission-driven demands in a highly regulated industry. Rodger is solutions-oriented and well versed in transactional, regulatory, compliance, operational, corporate and risk management issues pertaining to institutional and individual health care providers, group practices, ancillary service providers, MSOs, and their vendors, suppliers and business affiliates.

Rodger is experienced in federal fraud, waste and abuse laws (Stark Law, Anti-Kickback, FCA and Medicare), HIPAA/HITECH and Florida law counterparts. He also has a broad knowledge of health care-centric commercial transactions, hospital-physician relationships, physician employment and professional service contracting, healthcare IT licensing, and other contractual and regulatory challenges.

For several years prior to joining Polsinelli, Rodger served as in-house counsel, including, most recently, as senior associate general counsel to one of the largest independent medical oncology/hematology practices in the United States, and previously, as general counsel to one of the nation’s largest wound care and HBOT services providers, and for a leading, multi-jurisdictional healthcare staffing and workforce management company.  This diversified in-house experience and deep knowledge in health law and corporate matters gives him a unique perspective and ability to stand in the client’s shoes, recognize enterprise-wide implications, and give meaningful counsel on any number of challenges or questions, whether complex or routine.   

  • Led contracting effort to enable acquisition, accreditation and operation of in-house Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) clinical lab services for statewide oncology practice
  • Negotiated multi-million-dollar comprehensive practice management and revenue cycle services and licensing arrangement for large physician group
  • Created contract platform for commercialization of telehealth technology by telemedicine start-up
  • Directed acquisition of hospital facility by Florida special taxing district and served as hospital outside general counsel
