Sherin Joharifard Bruning successfully serves clients in all phases of litigation as well as pre-litigation matters and alternative dispute resolution structures. She has exclusively defended large corporations involved in complex business litigation matters, including toxic and mass tort, product liability, and commercial issues, for over ten years. During this time she has built upon her legal skill and reputation to forge lasting relationships with co-defense counsel and plaintiffs’ counsel to achieve client goals. Sherin initiates, navigates and negotiates broad ranges of successful pre-litigation settlement agreements, from single case to multiple case transactions, serving long-term client strategy and getting results in a cost-effective manner.

Sherin has worked up hundreds of litigation cases, routinely drafting responsive pleadings and written discovery, conducting depositions, and preparing motions. She is goal-oriented and motivated to deliver results. Whether she is conducting depositions or drafting motions, Sherin strategically approaches every step of the litigation process to ensure a cohesive defense from case inception through settlement negotiations.

Sherin has demonstrated her legal skill consistently overtime, from placing first in the Regional Moot Court Competition and placing fourth in the National Moot Court Competition while in law school to recently being included in the 2021 Best Lawyers’ list of “Ones to Watch” for Alternative Dispute Resolution. Sherin is also dedicated to the St. Louis community, currently serving on the Fit and Food Connection Board to help St. Louis food deserts get access to healthy food and fitness services. She lives in St. Louis with her husband, two children and dog. In her spare time she loves to cook and travel! Sherin is fluent in Farsi.

  • Served as case managing attorney for hundreds of asbestos cases in Madison County IL, giving client-focused service from case inception through final case evaluation to assist in trial or settlement negotiations. 
  • Represented client interests at hearings in St. Louis City, from routine case management conferences to more substantive motions, developing rapport with opposing counsel and judges and developing trust in the client’s integrity.
