Steve focuses his practice on commercial real estate, in particular, matters related to commercial real estate finance. He represents lenders and borrowers in securitized and portfolio mortgage loans and other real estate asset backed financings. He is also experienced in a broad array of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leases and development. This broad experience allows him to critically approach deals of all sizes and complexity involving many different asset classes. Prior to joining Polsinelli, Steve was a real estate associate at the largest law firm in Delaware.
  • Represented a real estate investment company in obtaining CMBS acquisition financing for a retail/office building in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 
  • Represented a lender in a refinancing of a hotel and retail shopping center in Northern Virginia.
  • Represented a borrower in a refinancing of a retail shopping center in Southern Delaware.
  • Represented a borrower in a CMBS refinancing of several mixed-use buildings in Wilmington, Delaware. 
  • Represented a lender in a refinancing of a hotel and retail store on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. 
  • Represented a lender in providing various construction loans for housing developments in Southern Delaware. 
  • Represented a real estate investment company in an acquisition of several apartment complexes in Delaware. 
  • Represented a non-profit organization in the disposition of a building to be used for commercial redevelopment. 
  • Represented landlords and tenants by drafting and negotiating leases for retail pad sites and office buildings.
