Tom Guillen has always been a problem-solver, and his business experience prior to attending law school often required him to find new ways to do so. As Director of Customer Service for an internet start-up, he managed a team of more than 30 sales service representatives and was expected to make final policy decisions. It was through dealing with a varied customer base of more than 30,000 subscribers where he learned that each client is unique and deserves to be treated as so. Those years in sales and service allowed Tom to step right in and assist in the practice of litigation where he gained experience as a law clerk with three different law firms while completing his degree. Tom can follow a well-worn path if it gets the client where he or she needs to go and can carve a new path when necessary. He can do this by working directly with clients to better understand their needs.
