Tanner Weigel enjoys working with the firm’s clients to identify business-focused legal solutions to meet their most sophisticated needs. As an associate in the Corporate and Transactional practice, Tanner advises clients on a variety of complex transactions. Tanner’s unique educational background and work experience allow him to appreciate the underlying business rationale of every transaction for which he is engaged. Tanner’s experience as an audit intern at a "Big Four" audit, tax and advisory firm, where he worked on the audits of numerous Fortune 1000 companies, along with his dual accounting and finance degrees, give Tanner unique insight into the business side of law.
While in law school, Tanner served as a legislative intern in the Washington, D.C. office of Kansas Senator Jerry Moran. While at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law, Tanner received an Emphasis in Business & Entrepreneurial Law. Tanner also received the Marvin & Patricia Rich Corporate Law Prize, the Annette Moore Award, as well as numerous CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, including CALI awards in Legal Writing I, Legal Writing II, Contracts II, Commercial Transactions, Economics and the Law, Corporate Tax I and Taxation of Business Organizations.
