Thomas Saunders has written the book — literally — on everything a CEO needs to know about evaluating patents and using them to protect a business. As co-author of the book IP Law for Businesses: Protecting Yourself and Your Business, he shares the knowledge he has acquired during his years practicing intellectual property law.

Many of Thomas’ clients are in the emerging medical technology, biotechnology, genetic engineering, and pharmaceutical industries. Thomas assists these clients with patent prosecution, patent strategy and intellectual property licensing matters — all the while tailoring his services to fit within a realistic budget. Beyond life sciences, he guides early-stage entrepreneurs in a variety of technologies through the patent, partnering, and distributor minefields. His patent practice includes assessment of patent landscapes, free-to-market opinions, and strategic partnering evaluation.
