Undergirding our legal counsel is an understanding of the many changes in patent law over the recent years, including the recent and impactful Alice Supreme Court decision; we believe that understanding the proper application of the law to a particular client’s needs is vital in structuring patent applications and claims to maximize the probability of navigating the Alice minefield. Further, given the depth of our experience at the patent office, we are familiar with many individual examiner practices and utilize personal interviews to further advance client patent applications towards allowance.

Our approach to client service includes not only understanding the technology itself, but also how it fits into our clients’ overall business objectives. We partner with our clients and their in-house technical team to add value and expand the potential scope of coverage in the patent portfolio, which includes developing alternative embodiments, future embodiments and raising issues and questions which can promote and expand the patent coverage beyond what was originally conceived. In this way we can protect not only our clients’ innovations, but strengthen their company’s competitive position in the marketplace.
