  • Represented a financial institution in Honduras in financing the expansion of a cruise ship port in Roatán, Honduras (“Coxen Hole”), valued at $80 million.
  • Represented a fiber packaging manufacturing company with several independent contractors working for its maquiladora in Mexico in designing a program engaging the services of independent contractors.  
  • Represented multiple clients with dual citizenships in estate matters, including liquidation of assets. 
  • Represented a Central American family office client in the investigation of an alleged fraud against client valued at $82 million. 
  • Represented a self-capitalized company that invests in private companies in a Mexico and Florida lawsuit between the client and a U.S.-based former business partner for alleged fraud, misrepresentation, embezzlement and breach of contract with damages over $30 million. 
  • Represented a Central American family office client in the due diligence and acquisition of a construction materials company in Panama valued at $60 million. 
  • Conducted an internal investigation of a Central American telecommunications company concerning allegations by the U.S. Department of Justice.
  • Represented the Republic of Guatemala as counsel in an ICSIV arbitration related to a mining operation. 
  • Represented an international trading firm that handles all grades of scrap in a lawsuit in Santiago, Chile and Florida between the client and another company for alleged breach of contract in the purchase of scrap metal containers with damages in excess of $10 million. 
  • Represented and advised a multinational metal and steel manufacturer on a global reorganization project.
  • Represented a Colombian food manufacturer in a joint venture with a large coffee distributor in the U.S. 
  • Drafted and advised on and implementing/negotiating retail and distribution agreements on a regional scale in Latin America for a sports clothing manufacturer.
  • Drafted and advised on and implemented/negotiated distribution and service agreements on a regional scale in Latin America for a U.S. motorcycle manufacturer.
  • Established and implemented corporate governance controls and programs as well as providing ongoing corporate support for the largest chemical company in Latin America.
  • Established and implemented corporate governance processes and post-merger integration for a U.S. multinational in the healthcare industry in Latin America.                                             
  • Acted as regional counsel for a U.S. multinational in the healthcare industry for the Latin America region. Provided advice on commercial matters, i.e., negotiated complex commercial contracts, supply and purchase agreements, leases, loan and credit agreements, labor and employment negotiation support, distribution agreement advice, creating of regional agreement templates to support the business in more common transactions.
  • Advised on and negotiated termination of long-standing dealer agreements in Latin America for an Italian eye-wear company.
  • Supported and ensured the implementation of regional Latin America re-branding project for a U.S. based multinational healthcare company.
  • Advised an American multinational corporation in the automotive industry on corporate finance matters, i.e., credit, lease, guarantee, loan, dividend agreements, assisted and advised on internal restructuring projects and mergers.
  • Analyzed and provided advice on Latin American Data Privacy Laws for an American multinational medical devices, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods company.
  • Provided advice, supported and implemented global IP strategy, trademark and patent enforcement for a Fortune 500 company following expansive due diligence of the entire IP portfolio.
  • Coordinated, supported and advised on international corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions for a U.S. multinational manufacturing company.
  • Advised on the Latin American legislative and regulatory framework to facilitate expansion and simplification of a U.S. multinational health care company.
