Teresa Anderson handles family court appointments for the firm’s attorneys, which primarily includes allegations of abuse and neglect of children in Jackson County. She also has extensive courtroom and bench trial experience in the family law area and is responsible for the preparation and disposition of these types of cases. She is currently working as a guardian ad litem in multiple child custody cases.
Teresa served as a trial attorney and supervised personnel in the Public Defender Juvenile Office from 1998-2000. She was lead counsel in 34 jury trials that involved multiple criminal allegations, including major felonies such as murder in the first and second degrees, assault and robbery. Teresa was responsible for overseeing all details of the defense of such charges, including trial and motion practice, as well as supervising any needed investigation of the charges. She also supervised newer trial lawyers as co-counsel in over 50 jury trials.
