Chad Stoker focuses his practice on providing legal advice and strategic counsel to clients developing, designing, and constructing projects of various classes and types. He primarily represents owners and developers during the drafting and negotiations phases of complex design and construction agreements and during dispute resolution when issues arise. Before becoming an attorney, Chad served in a leadership role in a top-ten aerospace/defense company where he learned the complexities of the interplay between risk, risk tolerance, and the business realities of competitive markets. As a result, his counsel is focused on appropriately protecting the client while achieving the client’s goals related to risk allocation without “over-lawyering” in a way that unreasonably delays or complicates progress on the deal.
Chad is a trusted advisor to leaders in various industries, and his clients have included national reach real estate developers, major hospital systems, global logistics providers, and professional sports teams (including teams in the National Football League, National Basketball Association, and Major League Soccer).
Chad has deep knowledge and experience in a variety of project delivery methods, including design-bid-build; design-build; engineering, procurement and construction; and construction management at risk structures and is well versed in the various industry standard forms of agreements.
