David leads Polsinelli's national distressed health care practice, guiding health care providers, investors and lenders through financial distress, restructuring and operational transitions. His work spans the full life cycle of health care distress — from problem-loan workouts and distressed M&A to complex Chapter 11 restructurings — always with a sector-specific lens.

Clients turn to David for his deep understanding of the regulatory, financial and operational pressures facing distressed health care organizations. He represents health care providers, REITs, hospitals, lenders, landlords, health care systems, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities and other investors across the country in distressed transactions and restructuring matters.

David’s experience includes:

  • Health care workouts and distressed M&A, including 363 sales and asset acquisitions
  • Representing providers in problem loan workouts, bridge financings, forbearance agreements and other distressed transactions
  • Advising on health care restructuring strategies, including out-of-court workouts, wind-downs and Chapter 11 proceedings
  • Counseling creditors, committees, trustees and purchasers in restructuring and receivership matters

Prior to joining Polsinelli, David taught as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Emory University School of Law for over seven years.
