Garrick Vanderfin provides valuable legal counsel to clients in the financial services industry. Working closely with Polsinelli attorneys, Garrick assists businesses in structuring, documenting and negotiating financial transactions. He is a problem solver who is willing and able to find creative solutions to his clients’ issues. Garrick has handled a wide variety of diverse matters involving civil litigation relating to real estate, contract and business disputes in both state and federal courts.

Garrick also has significant consumer finance defensive litigation experience handling claims in state and federal courts, and in arbitrations, involving automobile, recreational vehicle (RV), and marine product loans and leases arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (MMWA) and state specific unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts and practices (UDAAP), including, but not limited to the California Consumer Credit Reporting Agencies Act (CCRAA), Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (RFDCPA), California Identity Theft Act (CITA) and Song-Beverly Warranty Act, as well as handling disputes relating to retail installment sales contracts, repurchase and indemnity demands, dealer bad acts claims, holder rule liability, manufacturing defects, identity theft and automobile fraud. He also has experience defending against Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA) claims for various financial services clients.
