Polsinelli Expands Investment Strategies & Capital Solutions Practice With David Cielusniak in New York
Polsinelli is pleased to announce that David M. Cielusniak has joined the firm’s New York office as a shareholder in its Investment Strategies & Capital Solutions Practice. Cielusniak brings decades of experience advising hedge funds, private equity sponsors, venture capital firms and other alternative asset managers on the regulatory, operational and governance issues that shape today’s investment management landscape.
Cielusniak joins Polsinelli amid continued strategic growth in New York and across the firm’s Finance, Investment Strategies and Real Estate Department. Over the last 12 months, the department has welcomed seven shareholders to its New York office, including David J. Karp, co-head of the firm’s Special Situations & Alternative Investment Practice; Michael A. Turo; Brett D. Goodman; and the team of Robert B. Koonin, Stefanie M. Graham, Cynthia M. Thomas and Darius E. Nicknamfard.
“David brings the kind of practical, business-minded counsel that sophisticated investment managers need in an increasingly complex market,” said Brian A. Bullard, Chair of Polsinelli’s Investment Strategies & Capital Solutions Practice. “He understands not only the regulatory and compliance pressures our clients face, but also the operational realities of building, scaling and managing investment platforms. His arrival further strengthens our ability to support sponsors and alternative asset managers across the full lifecycle of their businesses.”
Cielusniak counsels clients on compliance program design, governance frameworks, fund launches and operational structuring, helping investment advisers align regulatory obligations with operational efficiency and investor expectations. Prior to joining Polsinelli, he co-founded Allegiant Global Solutions and served as its chief executive officer, developing compliance, governance and advisory solutions for investment advisers and alternative asset managers.
“I am excited to join Polsinelli at a time of meaningful growth for the firm’s investment management and capital solutions capabilities,” said Cielusniak. “The firm’s collaborative platform, entrepreneurial culture and strong commitment to client service make it an excellent fit for my practice. I look forward to working with the team to help clients navigate complex regulatory requirements while advancing their business objectives.”
Cielusniak earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his B.S. from Georgetown University.
