Dave Cielusniak advises hedge funds, private equity sponsors, venture capital firms and other alternative asset managers on the regulatory, operational and governance issues that shape fund formation and investment management businesses. Drawing on senior leadership experience across asset management, compliance and legal functions, he counsels clients on compliance program design, governance frameworks, fund launches and operational structuring — helping investment advisers meet evolving regulatory expectations and investor demands.

Prior to joining Polsinelli, Dave co-founded Allegiant Global Solutions and served as its chief executive officer, developing compliance, governance and advisory solutions for investment advisers and alternative asset managers. Earlier in his career, he held senior operational, legal and compliance leadership roles across the asset management industry, including as chief operating officer and chief compliance officer at TimesSquare Capital Management and deputy chief operating officer for Credit Suisse Asset Management, Americas. Dave also was a founding partner of independent equity research boutique MoffettNathanson, where he served as chief operating officer, general counsel and chief compliance officer, and held a similar role at Conquest Capital Group, overseeing legal, compliance and operational functions for investment management and commodity trading adviser businesses. He leverages that cross-functional experience to help clients build and operate investment management platforms that align regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and investor expectations.
