James Mangiaracina is an experienced litigation attorney focusing on diverse commercial and complex civil litigation matters. His practice spans various aspects of litigation procedure, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, summary judgment briefs, motions in limine, and post-trial briefs. James has experience in all aspects of a litigation’s lifespan from pre-complaint investigations to trial, and appeals.
James has experience representing a wide range of clients, including corporate trusts involved in mortgage foreclosures, fraudulent transfer claims and the appointment of receivers. He has also served financial institutions by conducting internal investigations and interviewing key witnesses.
Additionally, James represents C-suite executives and corporations in securities litigations, civil Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) cases, breach of contract disputes, tortious interference claims and shareholder derivative suits. He has notably represented shareholder objectors in significant shareholder derivative lawsuit settlements.
Moreover, James has represented the beneficiary of several trusts in high-stakes litigations to enforce the beneficiary’s rights.
In employment law, James has represented companies facing discrimination and retaliation claims under the Civil Rights Act, encompassing Title VII and Section 1981 (42 U.S.C. § 1981).
