- Represented Official Consolidated Investors’ Committee in Meridian Investment Funds consolidated bankruptcy cases, which was largest Ponzi to date in Western District of Washington, with over 750 individuals who were defrauded of over $150 million in what appeared to be a real estate investment company. Confirmed Joint Plan of Liquidation with chapter 11 trustee, and represent the Oversight Committee in performance of its duties under the Liquidating Trust created under the Plan. Local counsel for prosecution of causes of action held by individual investors arising from any matter regarding the Meridian Funds transferred to the Liquidating Trust.
- Represented a private investment company in its acquisition, through the formation of Bennu Glass LLC and foreclosure of senior liens, of the assets of a glass bottle manufacturing facility in Kalama, Washington; served as Bennu’s outside counsel during its repair and operation of the plant, marketing through Mesirow Financial and sale to a division of Owens-Illinois.
- Represented Official Unsecured Creditors Committee in the chapter 11 case of Natural Molecular Testing Corporation, a debtor in the pharmacogenomics testing industry. Obtained authority to pursue estate’s claims against principal, and appointment of a chapter 11 trustee. Represent trustee in prosecution of claims against principal.
- Represented shareholder of Debtor in bitcoin mining business, and obtained dismissal of chapter 11 case to permit liquidation of bitcoins and resolution of claims outside bankruptcy.
