Joy Willard supports the Intellectual Property Department practice with many facets of intellectual property—from managing worldwide patent and trademark portfolios to conducting M&A IP due diligence. Her responsibilities include conducting trademark clearance searches, prosecution of state, federal, and foreign trademarks, prosecution of U.S. and foreign design patents, prosecution of copyrights, domain name management, IP due diligence, and assisting with TTAB proceedings.

Joy started her legal career over 17 years ago, working as a legal assistant in a boutique IP firm. Since that time, she has worked alongside attorneys to protect and enforce intellectual property for individuals, startups, and multinational corporations. Her analytical eye contributes to her strength in implementing and streamlining procedures to ensure efficient and comprehensive management of IP portfolios.

Joy has been instrumental in establishing the Intellectual Property Department’s best practices to ensure excellent client service.
