Kendall Gurule brings a wealth of multidisciplinary knowledge to her legal career advising clients in the pharmaceutical, materials science, chemical, and mechanical sectors. Her experience spans the IP life cycle from strategic counseling and patent portfolio development to guidance through IP due diligence, post-grant proceedings, and complex patent litigation, including Hatch-Waxman and related pharmaceutical matters. This breadth provides Kendall with a unique perspective that allows her to help clients secure strong, defensible IP protection and monetize or effectively enforce their rights in competitive markets.
Kendall’s litigation experience includes representing clients in patent disputes arising under the Hatch-Waxman Act and providing strategic support in BPCIA and post-grant challenges. She has assisted in developing case strategy, preparing pleadings and motions, and managing discovery in matters involving pharmaceutical formulations and biologics.
As a patent prosecutor, Kendall also draws on her deep technical background to efficiently obtain patent protection for inventions in fields such as batteries and energy storage devices, pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations, drug delivery devices and dosing control technology, semiconductors, polymers, adhesives, and industrial processing equipment and systems. Kendall also has prior experience as a patent searcher, which allows her to thoroughly assess and assist clients in navigating complex prior art landscapes.
