Marx Calderón leverages his background as a federal prosecutor to guide clients through complex financial services litigation and government investigations. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of Florida, he prosecuted a broad range of matters involving anti-money laundering issues, health care fraud, Ponzi schemes, sanctions violations, telemarketing fraud, FCPA and cybercrime. Marx’s casework included tracing and recovery of assets domestically and abroad including cryptocurrency, funds in investment and corporate bank accounts and real property.

During his time at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Marx tried cases to verdict and collaborated with federal law enforcement partners and regulators—including the SEC, OFAC, FBI, HHS-OIG and DHS — on coordinated enforcement actions. Earlier in his career, he practiced at a national law firm, where he advised clients on securities enforcement, cross-border investigations, FCPA matters and complex commercial disputes.

During law school, Marx was a Judicial Intern in the District of Massachusetts for the Honorable David H. Hennessy.
