Megan Hart provides comprehensive guidance through the full intellectual property life cycle to help clients strategically develop, protect and leverage their innovations. Her practice encompasses a range of IP matters, including patent searching and analysis, the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, support for post-grant proceedings and litigation, and the management of complex patent portfolios.
Megan works with clients across a wide range of industries and technologies. Her experience includes medical device advancements such as surgical automation systems, heart valve repair technologies, gastroenterology balloons, laser-based systems, coronary stents and percutaneous heart pumps. She also has experience with industrial equipment and renewable energy innovations, including solar panel installation machines, surface excavation systems and balers. She has previously counseled clients on products and technologies related to baby care, power systems, carbon capture and software.
Prior to law school, Megan gained hands-on experience in the health care industry, managing global clinical testing projects, supporting diagnostic regulatory launches, and implementing technical software solutions. Her work as a quality engineer for a multinational medical device and health care services company focused on medical devices and regulatory affairs. This background equips her with the ability to translate sophisticated technical concepts into effective legal strategies.
