Polsinelli Continues Health Care Growth with New Shareholder Rachel Adams in Chicago
Polsinelli is pleased to share that Rachel Adams has joined the firm’s nationwide Health Care Practice as a shareholder in the Chicago office from an Am Law 100 firm. Adams has more than a decade of experience and focuses her practice on advising health care clients in general corporate matters and complex transactions ranging from affiliations to acquisitions while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. She uses her extensive experience to help guide health systems, physician groups and other health care providers as they navigate the unique regulatory landscape. Adams’ arrival to the firm highlights a flurry of growth within the Health Care Practice, with seasoned litigator Kevin T. Elkins joining earlier this month and five additional shareholders joining this past year.
“We are thrilled to welcome Rachel to our nationally recognized health care practice. Her deep understanding of the intricacies within the health care industry is an asset to clients and colleagues alike,” said Matthew J. Murer, Chair of Polsinelli’s Health Care Department. “Rachel’s strategic insights and broad experience advising clients on general corporate matters and negotiating complex health care transactions against the backdrop of the ever-evolving regulatory environments will strengthen our practice and enhance our quality of service.”
In addition to her transactional focus, Adams advises clients on intricate regulatory issues around the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, state corporate practice of medicine laws and fee-splitting laws. Adams also represents chain, independent, wholesale and veterinarian pharmacies in regulatory and transactional matters.
“I am very excited to join Polsinelli and its nationally known health care practice. I was drawn to Polsinelli’s dedication to the health care industry and its breadth of expertise in supporting health care clients,” said Adams. “I look forward to collaborating with the Polsinelli team to provide well-rounded, practical advice to help clients achieve their business objectives.”
Adams is an active member of the American Health Law Association and regularly presents on health care transaction topics. She earned her B.S. and LLM from Saint Louis University and her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
