Polsinelli Continues Private Equity M&A Growth with Addition of Kevin A. Uhler in Chicago

Polsinelli is pleased to announce that Kevin A. Uhler has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a shareholder in its Private Equity Mergers & Acquisitions Practice.

Uhler advises domestic and international private equity funds and their portfolio companies on complex mergers and acquisitions designed to advance investment, growth and exit objectives. He works closely with sponsors and management teams to structure, negotiate and execute acquisitions, growth investments and strategic divestitures throughout the deal life cycle.

“Kevin’s experience advising private equity sponsors and portfolio companies across sophisticated transactions directly supports the continued growth of our practice,” said Frank Koranda, Chair of Polsinelli’s Private Equity Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. “His ability to combine sound business judgment with practical execution will strengthen the service we provide to clients as they evaluate acquisitions, pursue growth opportunities and manage investments across increasingly complex markets.”

Uhler’s arrival further accelerates Polsinelli’s investment in its national private equity platform. He joins the Chicago office shortly after the addition of Shareholder Christian W. Fabian, giving the firm added depth in the market across sponsor-side acquisitions, portfolio company transactions, growth investments, recapitalizations and strategic exits. Together, their arrivals strengthen the firm’s ability to serve private equity clients from Chicago while connecting them with an expanding national team that also recently added Shareholder Jon T. Beeman in Kansas City and Shareholders Jonathan K. Kitchen and Daniel E. Cohen in New York.

Uhler’s practice spans the financial and business services, health care and life sciences and technology, media and entertainment industries. He counsels clients through all stages of a transaction, helping them address complex legal and commercial considerations while remaining focused on their broader investment strategies and business objectives.

“What stood out to me about Polsinelli was the combination of a strong national private equity platform, a genuine focus on the middle market and an approach that pairs sophisticated counsel with practical, efficient execution,” said Uhler. “I look forward to helping sponsors and their portfolio companies pursue acquisitions and growth opportunities that advance their broader investment strategies.”

Uhler earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago Law School. He received his M.A. and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Florida State University.

As a leader in middle market M&A transactions, Polsinelli has represented hundreds of private equity funds and portfolio companies in both platform and bolt-on transactions.
