Polsinelli Continues Real Estate Practice Growth, Welcomes Matthew Friedrich in LA
Polsinelli is pleased to welcome Matthew (Matt) L. Friedrich to the firm’s Real Estate Practice as a principal in its Los Angeles office. Friedrich’s arrival underscores the continued growth of Polsinelli’s Real Estate Practice, with seven real estate shareholders joining over the last 12 months from coast to coast. His arrival comes on the heels of the recent additions of Gary Clarke in Philadelphia, Cameron Weil in New York, Kristopher J. Stark in Chicago and Barbara A. Trachtenberg in Boston.
“Matt’s arrival reflects our continued focus on strategic hiring to meet growing client demand,” said Kraig Kohring, Polsinelli’s Real Estate & Financial Services Department Chair. “His extensive background and experience in the real estate industry, particularly in California, will further complement our nationwide practice. We’re excited to have him on board as we continue building momentum where our clients need us.”
With more than two decades of experience, Friedrich’s career has been entirely dedicated to the commercial real estate industry, including working as a broker prior to his legal practice. He draws on deep market knowledge and longstanding industry relationships to guide equity investors, family offices, institutional investment advisors, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and real estate companies through all stages of real estate transactions. Friedrich advises clients on a wide range of commercial matters across asset classes and geographies, helping them navigate programmatic and single-asset joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions and financings.
“In an environment where clients are looking for a single service umbrella, the depth and breadth of Polsinelli’s real estate platform is a tremendous value proposition. Whether a complicated joint venture or debt financing transaction, an environmental or leasing issue or a construction contract, Polsinelli can exceptionally service it all,” said Friedrich. “I look forward to working closely with my new colleagues, contributing to the continued growth and success of our firm and our clients."
Friedrich received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola Marymount University and his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
