Polsinelli Expands Technology Practice with Artificial Intelligence Pro Laila Paszti
Polsinelli has welcomed Laila Paszti as a principal in the firm’s San Francisco office, in the Technology Transactions & Data Privacy Practice. Joining from an Am Law 10 firm, she has extensive experience advising on technology, intellectual property and data privacy matters in transactional and advisory capacities. She has represented leading West Coast strategic, private equity and growth investors in tech-related transactions, showcasing her outstanding industry reputation. Paszti has a unique background as a machine learning engineer that positions her to provide valuable guidance to clients on adopting, investing or commercializing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.

Paszti’s practice focuses on technology and related aspects of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, licensing and other commercial transactions. Drawing from her combined background as a software engineer and attorney, she helps clients manage risk and safeguard their commercial interests. She has acted on both sides of multinational mergers and acquisitions, patent purchases and sales and licensing and IP transactions, including in regulated industries such as health care and finance. Paszti also counsels clients on multijurisdictional privacy regimes, cybersecurity and big data platform diligence.
Before earning her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Paszti earned her M.A.Sc., magna cum laude, from the University of Waterloo, and her B.A.Sc., magna cum laude, from the University of Toronto. She frequently speaks on a wide range of technology topics, particularly those surrounding generative AI.
