Erin Thimmesch represents health systems, hospitals, pharmacies, and providers in payor and reimbursement disputes involving claims or utilization data, including algorithmic and AI-based reimbursement issues and the inappropriate use of AI tools by payors. She also assists clients with audit response, government investigation defense, internal investigations, proactive compliance matters, and Administrative Procedure Act matters involving the application of federal law by payors. She works with clients from the identification of potential issues through resolution, including evaluation of disclosure or refund obligations.
Erin is adept at navigating disputes involving commercial and government reimbursement issues, specializing in matters predicated on claims or utilization data. With her extensive experience in data analysis and reimbursement matters, Erin supervises Polsinelli’s in-house Coding and Compliance Team, and she helps leverage this broad bench of expertise to efficiently achieve each client’s legal and strategic goals.
