  • Defending an affiliate of an international engineering firm in federal court in Maryland in a declaratory judgment action concerning over $12 million in claimed consulting fees tied to a two million square-foot industrial warehouse development.
  • Secured a record $9.15 million eminent domain award in Kansas following the condemnation of property for infrastructure supporting an energy company’s $4 billion EV battery plant, the largest economic development project in Kansas history.
  • Represented a California-based not-for-profit public-benefit corporation that operated hospitals and ancillary care facilities in three states, in a lawsuit in San Joaquin County Court with a neighboring property owner regarding restrictive covenants our client put on a property it sold in 2006.
  • Represent hundreds of farmers and landowners along the Missouri River in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska in a mass action asserting claims for "takings." This litigation is among the largest takings cases ever brought against the federal government, with potential damages estimated to be over $500 million.
  • Represented a real estate group in a breach of lease and eviction proceedings against an active hospital. Polsinelli prevailed on all claims, including obtaining an order of eviction and a monetary award of over $15 million, and prevailed on counterclaims asserting millions in damages.
