  • Lead outside counsel for a leading health care system with respect to all real estate transactions for its national portfolio with over 150 million sq. ft. owned in more than 2,000 care facilities and 140 hospital locations operating in 24 states. Large-Scale Acquisitions & Portfolio Transactions

  • Served as co-counsel to a 33-year-old private investment firm with a primary focus on real estate in its $685 million acquisition of 38 warehouses across nine states.
  • Represented an independent global infrastructure and real asset manager in its $97 million acquisition of a fully-leased, five-building industrial asset totaling 544,705 square feet in Commerce, California.
  • Represented a Chicago-based real estate investment firm in over $550 million in acquisitions of mixed-use, industrial, office and residential properties throughout Illinois, North Carolina and Georgia.
  • Represented a self-storage investment company in a nine-property, multi-state acquisition for $167 million, including acquisition financing and all related corporate support.
  • Represented one of the largest industrial real estate developers in the U.S. in the sale of 425 acres of land in Eastgate, Missouri, for $208 million, including review and negotiation of PSA to address diligence and regulatory matters related to electricity and utility allocation for the buyer.

Asset-Level Acquisitions, Dispositions & Development

  • Represented a vertically-integrated real estate developer, investor and operator in the purchase of a 331-unit trophy suburban core community in San Diego, California, for $167 million.
  • Represented a California-based real estate investment firm in acquisitions and dispositions of value-add multifamily apartment properties across several states.
  • Represented a real estate developer focused on creating sustainable, purpose-built healthcare, science and technology and senior living spaces across the U.S. in $320 million in senior living facility dispositions and property purchases across Virginia, Maryland and Colorado.

Special Situations & Complex Transactions

  • Represented a national producer of greenhouse-grown agricultural products in connection with the $125 million sale of its 20-acre production facility in Texas, and the simultaneous leaseback of the facility for continuing operations.
  • Represented a nonprofit in the $120 million sale of one of the largest senior living facilities in the U.S. located in Gainesville, Florida.
  • Represented a global shoe company in the break-up and sale of the company’s global headquarters campus in St. Louis, Missouri, consisting of multiple office buildings and a parking garage spread over nine acres to three separate buyers for a total of $100 million.
