Polsinelli Names Scott Berdan and Amy Hansen Co-Office Managing Partners in Denver
Polsinelli is pleased to announce that Shareholders Scott A. Berdan and Amy Kiefer Hansen have been appointed co-office managing partners of the firm’s Denver office. They succeed Jennifer L. Evans in this role, who served as Denver’s office managing partner for over a decade and will continue her leadership in the firm’s Health Care Practice.
“Amy and Scott are both highly respected leaders and trusted advisors whose deep industry experience and dedication to clients reflect the very best of Polsinelli,” said Chase Simmons, Chairman & CEO of Polsinelli. “Their combined perspectives will be instrumental in guiding our Denver office as it continues to expand and serve clients across the country. I would also like to thank Jennifer for her years of dedicated service and hard work in establishing Polsinelli as a household name in Denver and growing the office into our fourth largest.”
Together, Berdan and Hansen will oversee the continued growth of the Denver office, which has welcomed four shareholders this year, most recently with the additions of Benjamin Wallfisch and Mark C. Bussey. Their appointment as co-managing partners reflects Polsinelli’s commitment to collaborative leadership and the continued expansion of its Denver platform.
“Jennifer’s leadership has enabled the firm to establish an incredibly strong foundation for Polsinelli in Denver. I am honored to continue guiding that trajectory alongside Amy and our talented team as we deepen client relationships, expand our capabilities in key legal disciplines and grow our presence in the region,” said Berdan.
“I am honored to step into this role with Scott as we continue building on the momentum here in Denver,” said Hansen. “Our team’s growth reflects the strength of the market and the opportunities we have to serve clients across key industries such as health care, real estate, energy and technology. I am looking forward to help guide and expand our dynamic team that reflects the innovation and energy of the Denver market.”
For more than 25 years, Berdan has served as a trusted counselor in corporation finance, securities and transactional law. He advises clients across industries, including banking, health care, technology, mining, energy and consumer products. With over seven years of service at Polsinelli, his practice concentrates on public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and complex corporate governance matters.
Hansen currently serves on Polsinelli’s Board of Directors and has been with the firm for a decade. She previously served as Chair of the firm’s Real Estate, Environmental and Construction Practice Groups. She has more than 25 years of experience as a real estate attorney, with a diverse practice focused on real estate transactions and development matters nationwide. She represents real estate developers, REITs and private equity firms on acquisitions, equity investments and large-scale developments.
