Steve Smith’s practice focuses on financial restructuring, bankruptcy and commercial transactions. Clients depend on his ability to broker resolutions with other parties in interest and facilitate the consummation of transactions to achieve their goals. Steve works closely with Polsinelli attorneys to protect clients' interests and counsels both debtors and creditors. His client-focused approach accomplishes their objectives and minimizes costs.

During law school, Steve served as legal extern to the Honorable Jerrold N. Poslusny, Jr., United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Steve served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.
