Timothy Fontes focuses on patent and trademark protection in the United States and internationally. Drawing on his diverse upbringing and combined background of business and technology, Tim helps clients maximize the value for their intellectual property. He develops strategies aligned with each client’s goals, with a primary focus on preparing and prosecuting patent applications. In doing so, he works closely with patent examiners to advance applications through persuasive, practical advocacy and to foster productive examination processes that serve his clients’ interests.

Tim works with startups, established technology companies, universities, medical device manufacturers and other innovators across industries. He brings practical insight to help organizations protect, manage and leverage their intellectual property for business success.
