Polsinelli has welcomed Jane C. Dempsey to the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as counsel in the firm’s Trade Remedies Practice. Dempsey joins the firm from the International Trade Commission, where she served for nearly a decade.

In Dempsey’s previous role at the ITC, she served as lead counsel representing the ITC in trade-remedy litigation before the U.S. Court of International Trade, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, World Trade Organization and North American Free Trade Agreement binational panel. Dempsey focused on advising the Commission on injury issues in antidumping and countervailing duty investigations across a wide range of industries including steel, chemicals, softwood lumber, energy, agriculture, aluminum and other manufactured goods and consumer products.

“We are excited to welcome Jane to the team. With trade dominating the agenda for the current administration, Jane’s unique insights into the dynamic sector of trade enforcement will strengthen our team advising clients on how to navigate these tumultuous times,” said Deanna Okun, Polsinelli’s International Trade Commission Section 337 Litigation & Trade Remedies Chair. “Her deep understanding of litigating before the ITC and federal courts and as well as interpreting the trade statutes will be a tremendous asset to clients, and we look forward to leveraging her knowledge as we continue to strengthen our trade capabilities.”

“I am excited to join Polsinelli, which focuses on strong partnerships with its clients and collaboration in providing superior legal representation, including in international trade,” said Dempsey. “I look forward to working with such a talented group of attorneys in providing legal advice and innovative solutions on trade matters in an ever-evolving landscape.”
