Allie Bernardo supports the Intellectual Property practice with an emphasis on patent prosecution in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Practice Group. Her responsibilities include overseeing domestic and foreign patent prosecution matters from filing to grant, including payment of annuities and interfacing with clients. She is also the Intellectual Property department trainer. In this capacity, Allie is responsible for training new hires as well as the development and implementation of training for the entire department.

Before joining Polsinelli, Allie worked in the Intellectual Property department of a prominent international law firm. She was responsible for the docketing and prosecution of U.S. patent applications, PCT applications and foreign patent applications. She also provided litigation assistance during all phases of a case, from matter inception to trial before various U.S. District Courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Allie also handled the Firm’s first Inter Partes Review (IPR), Covered Business Method (CBM) review and Post-Grant Review (PGR) matters. She then developed training for the firm’s USPTO Post Grant and Inter Partes Review practice.

Allie served in the U.S. Air Force as a medic and a paralegal. She has been in the legal field for more than 30 years and has a strong prosecution and litigation background.
