Polsinelli Bolsters Public Policy Practice with Senior Policy Advisor Eli Greenspan

Polsinelli is pleased to announce that Eli Greenspan has joined the firm as a senior policy advisor in its Public Policy Practice in Washington, D.C. Greenspan advises health care clients before Congress and federal agencies on legislative and regulatory priorities involving Medicare coverage, pharmaceutical reimbursement, diagnostics development, federal research funding, and health workforce shortages affecting physicians and other health care providers.

“Eli brings a strong understanding of both the substance of federal health care policy and the process required to move an advocacy campaign forward,” said Matthew J. Murer, Chair of Polsinelli’s Health Care, Public Policy and Government Investigations Department. “His experience developing legislative strategies, working with national coalitions and engaging congressional committees and federal agencies will deepen the support we provide to clients confronting complex reimbursement, workforce and patient-access issues.”

Greenspan works with pharmaceutical and medical device companies, trade associations and patient advocacy organizations to develop legislative proposals, congressional report language, talking points, sign-on letters and briefing materials. His advocacy has contributed to new legislation and favorable agency outcomes on issues central to clients’ missions.

He also leads and participates in coalitions, including a group of more than 40 national health care organizations focused on workforce legislation. Greenspan has organized congressional briefings and advocacy day fly-ins, worked with national stakeholders on health care and immigration-related workforce issues and prepared clients to testify before the House and Senate Judiciary committees.

Polsinelli’s Public Policy team includes former executive branch officials and senior congressional staff who advise clients on federal and state policy matters. The practice assists clients across areas including appropriations, budget, health care, education, immigration and tax policy.
