Arthel McDaniel is a creative strategist and problem-solver. He works closely with clients to help them navigate the complex issues inherent in commercial lending transactions, securitization, tax credit finance, and other structured finance transactions. Arthel’s clients rely on his legal acumen and deep industry knowledge and experience to achieve their business objectives.

Arthel represents:

  • Commercial mortgage loan sellers and servicers in commercial mortgage backed securitization transactions
  • Loan sellers in whole loan sales transactions
  • Loan servicers in interim servicing relationships
  • Servicers and loan sellers in working through the post-securitization issues involving securitized assets, including workout and foreclosure
  • Servicers on servicing agreements and regulatory compliance of securitized loans
  • As outside general counsel, Arthel represents a national commercial lender with respect to its vendor and strategic partner relationships.

Arthel also works with clients to resolve complicated issues inherent to tax credit finance and capital markets transactions. Whether representing lenders, national tax credit syndicators, or local nonprofit developers, Arthel has used his highly developed drafting and negotiation skills to successfully close tax credit transactions in both up and down markets.
