Polsinelli Adds Timothy Ayotte in Boston, Strengthening Life Sciences Corporate & Transactional Capabilities

Polsinelli is pleased to announce that Timothy Ayotte has joined the firm as a shareholder in its Boston office, strengthening the firm’s corporate and transactional depth for life sciences, biotechnology and health care companies. Ayotte joins the firm’s Venture Capital & Emerging Growth Companies Practice, where he advises emerging companies, investors and life sciences businesses on financings, mergers and acquisitions and other strategic corporate matters.

Ayotte’s arrival also supports Polsinelli’s broader growth capital work for companies and investors navigating complex capital needs. His addition follows the recent arrival of Shareholder Brian Willbur in San Francisco and reflects the firm’s continued investment in a national team serving clients across venture capital, growth equity, private equity, securities, private credit and strategic investment.

“Tim’s arrival strengthens our life sciences transactional capabilities in a market that is central to innovation in the sector,” said Rick Jordan, Co-Chair of Polsinelli’s Venture Capital and Emerging Growth Companies Practice. “His experience advising companies and investors through capital raises, M&A and other corporate matters fits directly with the way we are building our national platform, not only around core venture work, but around the more structured capital needs that arise as companies mature.”

Ayotte advises clients throughout the corporate lifecycle, from company formation and early-stage financings to strategic transactions and exits. He also counsels clients on governance and day-to-day business issues as they scale, raise capital and navigate growth. His prior in-house experience at a global biotechnology company gives him a practical understanding of the legal, operational and business considerations facing companies in the life sciences sector.

“I’m very excited to join Polsinelli as the firm continues to expand its growth equity and life sciences capabilities,” said Ayotte. “I look forward to collaborating with this exceptional team to help companies and investors achieve their growth and strategic objectives.”

Ayotte earned his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Bates College.

Polsinelli’s Growth Capital team helps companies, investors, sponsors, strategic acquirers, family offices and capital providers structure and execute transactions designed to support the next stage of growth.
