Carl Steen has more than 25 years of corporate and energy transactional and regulatory experience, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, restructurings and other corporate transactions and related regulatory matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and state utility commissions.
He has represented a wide range of energy clients ranging from private equity and strategic investors and lenders to utilities and independent power producers on more than 150 energy M&A transactions and over 100 energy and infrastructure projects. Carl has served as lead counsel on multi-billion-dollar financings, including industry firsts and award-winning transactions. He also has deep experience with all aspects of thermal and renewable energy project development and financing including negotiation of PPAs, EPCs, equipment and fuel supply agreements, joint ventures, credit agreements and related documents. His experience also includes M&A and corporate finance matters in a variety of sectors, including digital and other infrastructure, retail and manufacturing, auto, sports, media and entertainment and transportation and telecommunications.
