  • Represented a medical technology company in a multifaceted patent dispute involving pioneering transperineal prostate biopsy technology. Supported coordinated strategy across six USPTO post-grant proceedings concerning five asserted patents, related federal patent litigation and European patent challenges, including proceedings that resulted in denial of a post-grant review and reexamination certificates confirming the patentability of key claims.
  • Represented an oil and gas technology company in complex patent litigation involving well-completion equipment used to float casing into horizontal and highly deviated wells. Supported a coordinated strategy spanning district court litigation, two Patent Trial and Appeal Board post-grant proceedings and a Federal Circuit appeal involving a question of first impression under the Patent Act and the defense of a judgment of no infringement. 
  • Represented the intellectual property holding company behind a leading automotive accessories brand in multi-forum patent litigation involving core vehicle floor-tray technology. Contributed to coordinated district court, Patent Trial and Appeal Board and Federal Circuit proceedings, including pretrial strategy, discovery, expert preparation and the development of consistent infringement and validity positions across parallel matters. 
  • Defended a multinational industrial technology company in patent infringement litigation involving specialized uninterruptible power supply systems used in mission-critical applications. Supported the litigation team in defending allegations concerning the client’s UPS technology while navigating unusual procedural issues and protecting commercially significant technology used in environments where continuous and reliable power is essential. 

Trademark & Unfair Competition Litigation

  • Represented a nationally recognized provider of hair restoration services in trademark infringement and unfair competition litigation arising from digital advertising and online marketing practices. Supported the defense of Lanham Act, false designation of origin and unfair competition claims involving emerging questions regarding keyword advertising, Google Ads bidding practices and potential trademark liability in the digital marketplace.
  • Represented a global manufacturer in Denver District Court litigation involving patent and sublicense royalty claims related to belt drive bicycle technology used by more than 30 brands and 100+ product models. Supported development of patent invalidity and contract-based defenses in a dispute seeking tens of millions of dollars in alleged damages. 
  • Represented a consumer products company in managing and enforcing its global IP portfolio and defending multiple patent infringement actions involving seven-figure exposure. Contributed to successful PTAB inter partes review proceedings and negotiated dismissal with prejudice of three related district court litigations. Also supported multimillion-dollar retail and licensing agreements and ongoing brand protection efforts. 
  • Represented a leading 3D greeting card company in managing and enforcing a portfolio of more than 160 patents and related IP assets. Contributed to federal infringement litigation against recurring competitors, secured favorable settlement of one action, and supported high-profile brand licensing negotiations and ongoing online enforcement initiatives.
