Cristina is an experienced corporate lawyer with over fifteen years of experience in advising clients on general corporate matters and transformative transactions. She works closely with clients to address the legal ramifications of their business issues and to collaborate on achieving their strategic objectives. She works extensively on mergers and acquisition transactions and general corporate matters, including corporate formation, operating and shareholder agreements; private capital raising transactions; preparation and negotiation of commercial contracts in a broad range of industries, including FinTech and information technology and services; employment and restrictive covenants agreements and other day-to-day legal counsel and advice.
Earlier in her career, Cristina was at an international law firm based in New York City where she focused on capital markets transactions and Latin America where she worked on a wide range of transactions, including SEC-registered and Regulation S and Rule 144A issuances of equity and debt securities, follow-on offerings, private placements, tender and exchange offers, and liability management transactions, as well as corporate governance issues, including periodic reporting requirements and stock exchange rules and regulations.
Cristina also completed a fellowship with the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice of the New York City Bar Association and was based in Bogota, Colombia and Mexico City, Mexico, where she consulted with local law firms, universities, and non-profit organizations to evaluate and enhance their pro bono practices. She also collaborated with the predominant pro bono organization while living in Santiago, Chile.
