- Represented multiple foreign and domestic funds and lenders related to project and portfolio due diligence in anticipation of investments in U.S.-based energy projects.
- Served as lead project development and regulatory counsel for multiple interstate transmission and carbon sequestration pipeline projects.
- Served as lead project development counsel for the site selection, incentives, negotiation and construction of multi-billion dollar chemical plants, advanced battery manufacturing facilities, medical device manufacturing and other industrial and transportation related assets, such as rail served intermodals and airport facilities.
- Represented several multi-billion dollar coal gasification facilities (IGCC, SNG, CTL) with CCS capability as lead project development counsel.
- Represented entities creating and maximizing the value of "green attributes" such as RECs, RINs and LCFS credits.
- Negotiated multiple PPAs (traditional and vPPA) with several utilities across the nation for renewable energy developers and manufacturing clients.
- Represented multiple coal producers regarding the purchase of existing mines and the development and permitting of new mines in the Illinois Basin.
- Represented a major national energy aggregator regarding registration with multiple state utility commissions and related compliance matters.
- Represented several major multinational corporations as tax and incentives counsel regarding the location of new headquarters operations.
- Represented a client as project counsel for the redevelopment of a major former Army manufacturing site.
- Represented a client as project counsel for a joint State of Illinois and South Korean Smart Grid test bed project in Chicago.
