Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli has welcomed Deborah (“Debbie”) Yoon Jones as a principal in the firm’s Los Angeles office. An experienced litigator and trial attorney who focuses her practice on a wide range of disputes and issues, Jones has joined the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice. Her addition continues Polsinelli’s recent litigation growth, demonstrated by the 15 new shareholders and 11 associates who joined Polsinelli across its commercial, employment and life sciences products liability litigation practices last month as part of a larger group move. Polsinelli has also significantly strengthened its Los Angeles litigation bench with Jones being the sixth new litigation principal the firm has added in the city this year.

Joining from an Am Law 50 firm, Jones has more than 25 years of experience guiding clients through complex commercial litigation, ranging from business and real estate disputes to employment issues. Her clients span a wide range of industries, including retail businesses, energy, financial services, education and real estate.

Her experience handling commercial disputes in California state and federal courts covers the gamut of issues facing businesses both pre-litigation and through trial in a wide range of matters including business operations concerns, unfair competition and consumer protection claims, unfair debt collection issues, and high-stakes environmental toxic tort actions. She also has extensive mass arbitration experience regarding consumer protection and data breach related claims both with AAA and JAMS. She represents clients in real estate disputes and on behalf of landlords, tenants, developers and real estate agents in broker/agent commissions disputes, foreclosures, leasing disputes, easements, nuisance and eminent domain. She has also handled employment issues involving allegations of wrongful termination based on racial, gender, and age discrimination, retaliation and harassment. She also has significant experience advising about union grievances, labor disputes, franchise termination disputes and the Petroleum Marketing Practices Act (PMPA).

Jones received her J.D. from Georgetown University and holds a B.A. from University of California, Irvine.
