Health Care Policy Pro Returns to Polsinelli

Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli is pleased to share that its Public Policy Practice has welcomed Steve Stranne back to the firm. Rejoining the firm as a shareholder in the Washington, D.C., office, Stranne is a physician and lawyer with more than 30 years of experience developing and implementing regulatory, legislative and strategic initiatives for health care manufacturers, professional societies, associations, health care provider groups and patient advocacy organizations. Stranne focuses his practice on issues involving the coverage reimbursement and coding of medical technologies and services, including medical devices and equipment, digital health technology, artificial intelligence, drugs, biologics, biosimilars, radiopharmaceuticals, robotics and wound care products. Stranne was previously a shareholder at Polsinelli from 2010 to 2021.

Joining Polsinelli from an Am Law 200 firm, Stranne is a physician with more than three decades of experience in Washington, D.C., representing clients before the U.S. Congress, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other agencies within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Stranne serves as policy counsel to many health care providers and manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, biologics and medical devices. He helps clients develop and implement strategies to secure appropriate reimbursement, coding and coverage policies for new and existing medical technologies and clinical services. He also works with the boards and leadership of manufacturers, health care providers, and associations to assist with strategic planning amid the evolving regulatory and reimbursement landscape for health care services, drugs and devices.

Stranne received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, holds an M.D. from Duke University Medical School and received a B.S.E. from Duke University.
