Jacob Butler represents employers in labor and employment litigation, defending companies in workplace disputes in state and federal courts. He works closely with attorneys in the firm’s Labor and Employment group to support all phases of litigation, from case strategy and discovery through dispositive motions and resolution.
Jacob’s experience includes defending claims involving discrimination, harassment and retaliation, wage and hour disputes and other employment-related matters. He assists with case development, discovery management, motion drafting and trial preparation, helping clients navigate complex and sensitive workplace litigation.
In addition to his litigation work, Jacob provides support on employment counseling matters, including workplace policies, employee relations issues and risk mitigation strategies, helping employers address issues before they escalate into disputes.
Before attending law school, Jacob served as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army. His military experience informs his disciplined, team-oriented approach to client service and problem-solving.
