Joe Delehanty is a first-chair litigator and business advisor who represents private equity portfolio companies, closely held businesses and growth-stage enterprises in high-stakes disputes. He leads commercial litigation in state and federal courts nationwide, with experience across contract, shareholder and fiduciary duty claims; trade secret and restrictive covenant matters; and trademark and copyright claims. Joe oversees case strategy, discovery and trial preparation, including dispositive briefing and oral argument in complex disputes where business risk and reputational exposure are high.

In addition to his litigation practice, Joe serves as outside counsel to companies navigating commercial agreements, employment issues, financings and M&A. His dual perspective as trial lawyer and strategic advisor allows him to spot risk early and align legal strategy with business outcomes. Joe also has significant experience in real estate litigation and transactions. He has handled boundary and prescriptive easement disputes, construction litigation involving insurance coverage and damage recovery issues, and related matters in both state and federal court. On the transactional side, he has advised clients on the purchase and sale of commercial property, resolving title, environmental and financing issues to close complex deals efficiently.

As a former small business owner, he understands the pressures companies face at all stages of growth, and he brings that insight to advising startups and emerging businesses on entity formation, contract negotiation, fundraising and IP protection.
